1890s cabinet card photo of a triple amputee hunter ID'd on the reverse as "Dan Nichols" who has his double barrel shotgun strapped over his shoulder, his trusty dog by his side, and a dead fox lying next to him. A brief article about Mr. Nichols from the February 7, 1893 Syracuse (NY) Herald-Journal is attached (for reference only). Photographer is H. J.
